System Builder

Symantec’s System Builder Program delivers branded security and availability solutions to System Builders and System Integrators for small business and consumer customers.

Designed specifically to meet the needs of this channel, the program offers the right products, cost-effective packaging, market-sensitive pricing, and the training and support required for participant success.

System Builders and System Integrators are entities that agree to distribute certain Symantec products to end users according to the Program Requirements and with the Approved Devices listed below.

Program Requirements

Program participants who purchase, advertise or distribute Symantec OEM and/or System Builder Edition Products agree to comply with the following Symantec System Builder Program Requirements (“Program Requirements”), which are subject to change, without notice at Symantec’s sole discretion.

Each Symantec OEM or System Builder Edition Product must be distributed by program participants with the following: a computer system, CPU, motherboard, router, hard drive, tape device, storage array, and/or with a computer operating system such as Microsoft Windows or Unix (“Approved Devices”).
Symantec System Builder Edition Products may not be advertised or sold on a stand-alone basis. The license fee for these Products must be included in the price of the bundle and not visible to an end user.
Program participants must follow current OEM and System Builder Program requirements, in addition to other OEM License Agreements (if applicable). Participants may only sell Symantec System Builder Edition Products without modifying or disabling any portion of the End User License Agreement (“EULA”) provided by Symantec as such may be amended from time to time by Symantec.
Program participants must have an active website accessible by Symantec and purchase Symantec OEM and/or System Builder Edition Products only from a Symantec authorized distributor.
If Symantec or its authorized distributors discovers that a program participant is not complying with the Program Requirements, Symantec may, at its own discretion, with or without notice, enforce its rights and disqualify that participant from purchasing or distributing Symantec OEM and/or System Builder Edition Products.
System Builder and OEM resellers must advertise and distribute only the most current version of Symantec products available.
Symantec System Builder Program is available to System Builders in North America as well as select countries in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Some Symantec System Builder Edition Products include an annual subscription to protection updates that are enabled upon acceptance of the Symantec end user license agreement (EULA).

To ensure that your customers receive the full length of the limited subscription to protection updates, please do not accept the end user license agreement on behalf of your customer.

General Program Information

Symantec security offerings include a 365-day subscription to security updates.
Symantec security offerings include activation codes used to enable subscription period.
System Builder Edition Products can only be purchased from ASI, D&H, Ingram Micro, Synnex, or Tech Data.

Suitable for delivery with your computer systems, each polybag contains one CD of the Symantec product, one product information card, one license agreement, and one certificate of authenticity.

How To Get Started

In order to participate in the Symantec System Builder Program, you must submit a complete Symantec System Builder Application. By completing and submitting this application, you acknowledge you have read the Symantec System Builder Program Requirements and agree to adhere to the Terms and Conditions of the program.

You must be a System Builder, have an active, accessible website, and have an account with one of our five authorized OEM / System Builder distributors. Our current OEM / System Builder distribution partners are ASI, D&H, Ingram Micro, Synnex, or Tech Data.

Once Symantec agrees to your participation in the System Builder Program, please contact your authorized distribution partner to place an order.
